Our place in the Methodist family.
Christ’s Little Band is a lay fellowship within the Methodist Church Ghana. Members participate in the life of their church through prayer, worship, evangelism and practical service. Fellowship brings these commitments into daily relationships: encouraging one another, caring through difficult times and working together for the good of our communities.
CLB extends beyond a single congregation. Our local bands belong to Methodist societies and connect through circuits and dioceses to the wider Connexion. This website currently presents the Northern Accra Diocesan Band and its place in that wider fellowship.
A fellowship rooted in local life.
The society band is where belonging becomes personal. Members meet, worship, sing and support each other in their own communities. Circuit and diocesan gatherings connect those local relationships with a wider life of shared learning and service.
Local officers can explain meeting times, membership arrangements and opportunities to take part. If you do not know which society is near you, the joining enquiry lets you give your neighbourhood and ask for help finding one.

The supplied diocesan history records that the Northern Accra Diocesan CLB was formed from the Accra Diocesan Band. A proposal began at Conference in 2000, and the official launch took place in January 2017 at Ebenezer Methodist Cathedral, Madina.
The 2025 annual report records 19 circuits, 66 branches and 1,494 members. These are Northern Accra figures for that reporting year, not a national CLB membership total.

Prayer, Scripture and Methodist worship run through the life of the Band. Ebibindwom, the Ghanaian Methodist sacred-song tradition, is part of how members worship and share their faith. The 2025 annual report describes its use in evangelism and the maiden diocesan Carol Service at Bethany Methodist Society, Dzorwulu.
Our motto, “United we stand. Divided we fall,” expresses the value of belonging and serving together.

Connexion → Diocese → Circuit → Society or Branch. Each level connects local fellowship with the wider organisation. A CLB society band belongs to a Methodist church society; several societies are grouped within a circuit.
Officers, led by a Chairman, support the work of their band. Ministers and chaplains contribute spiritual guidance within the Methodist family. The diocesan leadership page identifies the officers recorded in our source documents.
