CHRIST’S LITTLE BAND · NORTHERN ACCRA DIOCESE

Our work.

Faith expressed through pastoral care, outreach, learning, cultural heritage and service to our neighbours.

Welfare and practical care.

Care begins with knowing one another. The annual report records visits to sick members and those unable to attend, encouragement for less active bands, and support for bereaved families. These local acts of companionship sit alongside shared efforts such as the “Jesus Boutique,” where donated clothing, toiletries and stationery were made available without charge.

Evangelism and spiritual life.

House-to-house visits, public outreach, prayer and song bring the Gospel into everyday places. The 2025 report describes Palas Town outreach using conversation, Scripture-bearing placards and Ebibindwom. It also records Madina Circuit’s regular ministry at the Polyclinic.

Follow-up matters alongside outreach. The report describes contact with society caretakers and local evangelism teams to continue relationships with people reached.

Community health.

The Band’s contribution to Kotoku Health Centre included equipment and medicines valued at GH¢70,000 in the supplied reports. Diocesan activities also included health education and screening at Trinity Methodist Society, with oral-health guidance, eye screening and blood sugar testing.

Christmas maternity hampers are another recorded expression of care. These examples describe work reported for 2025; they are not an open application programme or a promise of medical services through this website.

Youth, education and skills.

The 2025 report records 103 juvenile members within the diocese. Younger members form part of the fellowship’s continuing story, alongside opportunities for members to learn through seminars and local activities.

Documented skills sessions included baking and preparation of fabric softener. These activities supported practical learning for household use and possible income generation. Local officers can advise on future sessions when dates are confirmed.

Cultural heritage in worship.

Ebibindwom belongs to the lived worship of the Band. Carol services, concerts and singing together help members share this tradition across generations. Our history archive complements that living heritage with original accounts of the Methodist Church, the diocese and selected circuits.

Local development and shared spaces.

The annual report records support for the Palas Town chapel building project and Madina Circuit’s painting of the Polyclinic outpatient department. It also describes contributions to a skills training centre project. These examples show how local bands participate in the places their members call home.

To contribute your time or resources, speak with CLB officers about current needs and approved arrangements. Contributions are arranged directly; the website does not collect payments.
